We loved breakfast at this place, best ever :) The location is great, only 16km from the kruger main gate and from our room and the pool etc we could look into Kruger. Hippo's waking us up in the morning, situated in the river, only a few meters away from the hotel swimming pool.
1 waiter was amazing, the 2 others not so much, one was highly untrained, english wasn't so good, other one was very shy.

The view on the river, The roar of the hipopotomus, the heating inside the luxury tent, the comfort and cleanliness of the tent-room.

I recently stayed at Sabie River Bush Lodge for a few nights and had a wonderful experience. The tent was comfortable and had a private bathroom, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the meals at the restaurant were great. The highlight for me was the amazing view of the river, where I often saw elephants and sometimes even a hippo.
Totally recommend this hotel.

That we were looked after very well and the staff could not do enough for us.We felt more like part of their family than just guest. The location was great and the animals that came to the river were just out of this world. It was just like having our own private game lodge
Allthough the food was good and well presented some of the meals could have been warmer and larger portions. As some of the puddings were a bit dry it would of been nice to have cream or ice cream with them . Having said that none of us went hungry.

The Bush Lodge is situated in a very scenic area within close proximity of the Kruger Park. The accommodation is comfortable and clean and the services rendered very good. Supper and breakfast being served is an asset! I would recommend this venue to anyone!
No TV's in rooms, communal TV not convenient! During the first part of our visit the menu was mediocre, but improved towards the latter half. A little bit more imagination could be implemented as far as the menu's are concerned. Pillows need attention, very hard.

Awesome location on the river front, in front of you the Sabie River and the Kruger National Park. Big floodligths so you can see hippo grazing in the evening. Try to drive there during the day, you are going through Bushbuck Ridge and lots of taxi's, cars, goats in the road. People who don't know the area might not like the location but it was great and safe. Living in Gauteng you always worry about crime but the owner looks after the community and the community looks after him. Huge swimming pool on wooden deck, you can lay on your deck chair with binoculars and search for wild life. Also, close to Kruger Gate and Pabeni Gate.
Some people might not like the Bushbuck Ridge area, I too was a bit apprehensive arriving there in the night and in the rain but my fears were unfounded. Awesome place.

We had a great time exploring the nearby wildlife reserves and national parks. the location was convenient, being only a short drive away from both. the rooms were comfortable with powerful showers, and the staff were friendly and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and the dinner was included in the price. the terrace and pool provided a relaxing spot to enjoy the view of the river and wildlife.
The portion sizes for the main meals were a bit too large.
